Please be sure to use the refresh / reload button in your browser to see the most recent version of our continually updated pages! AOL has been known to hold pages in their cache for up to 24 hours, so if you are not seeing the most updated pages, and have tried using the refresh / reload button continuously, please just try again later if you are an AOL user.
The logic behind AOL's decision to automatically compress ANY picture you wish to see is that the have decided that most people care more about how long it takes for a page to load rather than the quality of the images. The AOL web browser's default settings may cause some of the pictures you are viewing to look fuzzy.
If, when using AOL, these pictures are not clear, you have two options:
Option 1: Use a different internet browser (Recommended)
- · Connect to the Internet with AOL (This is only necessary if you are using a dial-up modem connection. Any full time connections to the internet (DSL, Cable Modem, T1 etc) do not have to worry about connecting to AOL or worry about changing AOL Settings)
- · Assuming you are using a dial-up modem, minimize AOL by clicking on the rightmost of the three buttons in the top left corner of your AOL window.
- Open your computers internet browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera). This can usually be found in your START menu (PC users) or your APPLE menu (Mac users) under "Programs". Links to download the latest version of these softwares can be found here.
- Type in the camp website address (www.njycamps.org) and you are on your way!
Option 2: Change your AOL preferences (AOL version 4.0 or above)
- Open "My AOL"
- Click on "Preferences"
- Click on "WWW"
- Click on the "Web Graphics" tab
- Clear out the little check box next to "Use Compressed Graphics"
- click "Apply"
